The iButton® Controller is the heart of any System where iButton®/Dallas Key is the Login Medium and houses the electronics to enable a Functional need. Typically this would be to identify the iButton®/Dallas Key as a valid entity where it compares the ID of the iButton® presented with a pre-configured list held in memory and if valid triggers a latch in order to activate the desired outcome.

IMAC Electronic Solutions offer a very basic cost effective options that do not require application S/W or a PC to programme.

Adding Keys to the Controller is achieved through following a specific routine of touching the Keys to the input of the Controller via a Probe in a specific sequence.

YSL429 and YSL428 have the Probe and Controller integrated into 1 unit whereas the YSL431 requires the addition of a Probe housing a Green (Key Accepted), Red (Key Refused) and Orange (Configuration) Tri-Colour LED.

The intended application is for Access Control where there are a limited number of Keys and the units are not recommended for External/Harsh Environments and are not certified for Automotive Applications.
